[Hearing |Alan Parsons ~ More Lost Without You]

...dubaiwalla, I feel like I can finally stand beside you in clever sign discoveries.

Leaving Dibba this morning. There were humps. Donkeys and goats also were ahead.

Aha! Well, that's pretty cool. I do seem to have this way of bringing interesting people together. Enjoy!

p.s. When you said, "Check it out," were you quoting Black Eyed Peas?

Naw. I've never even listened to Black Eyed Peas, although I hear Fergie is a wild one.

This is good :)

I've seen humps ahead signs all over.

DANGER: Humps!
or "Humps!"
would be funnier.

Or in german! "ACHTUNG! DIE HUMPEN!"

Or humps/camel crossing in the same place.

The weirdest signs I've found in UAE have been the signs advertising exactly how high the voltage of overhead lines is, as if there's a huge difference in danger between 332KV and 250KV. Also, the "DANGER! LINES 12 METERS ABOVE!"

Or, "Myhumpmyhumpmyhumps ahead." Or something. Hm. 6662945862 KV LINES 342376 METERS ABOVE! Those are great. =)

Btw, you are flying a lot!

Sadly I wish I had some way to get my UAE/Kuwait text messages via email when not there :( I wonder how long they stay queued.

when my Dad used to fly to Dubai and meet some prince (I cant remember his name but he used to be in the tabloids about michael jackson) - they would get into these busses and car caravans. Dad said that there were these huge speed bumps in the desert out in the middle of nowhere and people would have snack shops and things for sale along the side of the road. do they still do this?

Ha! Your pictures have always been streets ahead of mine, and the odd sign discovery will never change that either way.

Are we still on for very early Tuesday morning? If yes, we can start rounding up the usual suspects.

Eek! I thought it was very early Wednesday morning! That's when I arrive back from London... at the tail end of your birthday, rather than the beginning. =(

p.s. Do you fly out on the 9th or 10th?

I fly out very early on the 10th. But I wanted to keep the 9th to take care of the miscellaneous things that will inevitably turn up at the last minute, and to spend time with my parents. Being out very late the previous night would probably hamper this. Also, J flies out on the evening of the 8th, which was why I figured the night of the 7th (and early morning of the 8th) would have been a great time.

Indian people have figured out they way to make cauliflower delicious is to add an arbitrary number to it.

This week I went to a Thai restaurant for the first time and ate Pad Thai for the first time. I thought of you.

Sadly, the shrine to the Buddha did not include Fanta.
