The good news is, the probably wouldn't have blocked it if people weren't using it. Twitter is blocked, too. Facebook has been blocked (and unblocked) twice. Myspace.com isn't blocked, but msplinks.com and myspacecdn.com are. I don't know if Flickr is still blocked. Parts of YouTube are blocked. My own domain (katoributa.com) is blocked (but that's because I got hacked and somebody put adult pop-up banners in my index.html).

They object to social networking. See Reason: Dating. I hear that the first time Secret Dubai (a text-only site without even a user icon at the time) was blocked, it was for "Reason: Nudity." Katoributa is blocked for "Reason: Sex," even though the pop-ups were only there for a day or so, and I had removed them before requesting it be unblocked.

So anyway, I just emailed them. You can too, if you like. The address is help@eim.ae. I wrote,
To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing to request the unblocking of Flock.com.

Flock is a web browser (like Netscape, Firefox, and Internet Explorer). The popular Netscape browser will no longer be supported, so users will likely migrate to the Flock browser. In order to receive updates and technical support, these people will want to access the official site - Flock.com.
