Listen to this cover of "Evil" by Interpol... Can you guess the singer?
Right-click, save, and dance all new-wave-like around the room.
If you guessed antivert, you're right. Pretty, huh? I like it better than the original Interpol track.
*rockin' guitars by Don's irc friend, mef.
Wow. I didn't know Don sings! It sounds great. BTW Erik just came in and asked me who this was covering Interpol. After telling him to guess, he said "I don't know, Morrisey?" LOL Now he is determined to have Don sing some tracks in his "international jam exchange". It def. is better than the original. :) Yeah sweet Don!
International Jam Exchange?!? Sign me up. =D
Hey man, it's Erik. Yeah, my buddy wanted me to send him some of my music so he could put some tracks down on it, and I had the idea for the International Jam Exchange. We could just send each other stuff and put stuff down, etc. and produce music even though we're all countries apart. I didn't know you could sing, either. It sounded awesome man. DO you have any lyrics or anything? I think it would be awesome if you would sing for this little idea. Well, glad to hear from you. take it easy. http://www.myspace.com/11073530
Hey Erik! Nice to hear from you man. =) The Jam Exchange idea is really cool. I don't really have any lyrics or anything, but it shouldn't be hard to come by some words floating around my head. I'm trying to figure out where the links are to download songs on your myspace page!
That's neat. Don sounds just like his photo, whatever that means. :)
Isn't it strange to talk with someone, and know their voice very well, then hear them sing on a recording? Especially if their singing isn't too stylized or affected?
You're right, there is a difference between hearing a stranger sing and hearing a friend sing!
Hey, that's pretty good :P
Hi, I've been looking for people who live in Dubai, or near it, on LJ.
I am planning on working for Emirates in a couple of years after I get my bachelor's degree, and I've looked at all the pictures I can find.
I've looked at apartments and floorplans and prices for all sorts of things.
The best way to really get to know anything about a place, though, is to try and get to know people who are from there.
I left a message on dubaiwalla
's LJ, and in response, was linked here to your journal.
You work for Emirates? Wow!
So anyways, I hope you don't mind my adding you.

What about the music!
Does nobody here care about the music??
I care about everything that has to do with Dubai, personally... ;)
I love Middle Eastern and Indian music, so I would probably love anything that came from Dubai... or is there a special Dubai music genre that I am completely in the dark about??? What's special about the Dubai music scene?
Oh, nevermind, I just re-read the post, I see what you mean now. Sorry. I was just looking for people who live in or near Dubai at the time that I made the original comment.
