Hamburg, 23 November [Dec. 19th, 2007|12:14 pm]

Last month, I took this little boat cruise around Hamburg.

I'd done it before, but not in winter, when they serve mugs of mulled wine for €2.

You see all these huge houses with landscaped terraces... ducks...

And lots of people in various kayaks and the like.

It's one of the prettiest places I've ever been.

Here's me! A little jet-lagged and quite cold, but having fun.

Next we wandered around festive Hamburg.

It was all Christmassy. People were shopping, strolling.

Going into little taverns like this, which weren't quite there my last visit.

Pretty paparazzo snapping Santa.

For real!

Here are some Greenpeace folks setting up for a little demonstration.

I cannot even begin to grasp the amount of awesomeness your life contains! I always look forward to your picture posts. So beautiful. Christmas times in Germany is the best (though it's been over 20 years since I've been there, I can remember the magical-christmas-warm-fuzzies I got in Germany, as a little girl, like it was yesterday)!

Argh! Gluhwein! It's like that first mug is awful, but after that, it doesn't taste so bad?

As usual, I love your photos of foreign lands.
