My uncle drives trains in Switzerland. He likes it.
Bet he does! It sounds like a great gig!

The view is apparently great. And you see a ton of wildlife, because when you're at the front of the train the animals aren't scared off yet.
Not only was the scenery beautiful, but the trains were flawless. He's very lucky.
Holy Cow! What's their motto? "Switzerland: You Can Eat Off It!" ?
Either you are picking images of the uber clean parts, or Switzerland is the cleanest place on Earth.
I was actually boggling at the cleanliness. Next time, I'm so eating off it.
I'll have to go visit there for sure now - how could I not want to see that much clean in one place? Dang.
I thought I would mention how much we enjoy your travel photos.

If Zurich is anything like Geneva then there's probably dog shit everywhere :(
I saw two or three dogs, but no shit.. I am happy to report.
I'm loving you soooooooo much for sharing these pics of the mothership!
I'm not sure how you could leave a place like that.
Ok, Switzerland has officially been moved to the top of my "Want to Visit" list. They should totally pay you commission or give you lots of chocolate for making people want to visit. Something.
YES. THEY SHOULD. If they argue, I'll refer them to you, kay?
Were there any Swiss People's Party Black Sheep posters still around?
There may have been! But I didn't see any.
Trains always remind me of this poem:
The railroad track is miles away,
And the day is loud with voices speaking,
Yet there isn't a train goes by all day
But I hear its whistle shrieking.
All night there isn't a train goes by,
Though the night is still for sleep and dreaming,
But I see its cinders red on the sky,
And hear its engine steaming.
My heart is warm with friends I make,
And better friends I'll not be knowing;
Yet there isn't a train I wouldn't take,
No matter where it's going.
-- Edna St. Vincent Millay
I love it. I might post it to railroading
, if nobody has already.
