Beautiful, delicious Zurich [Sep. 6th, 2009|07:34 pm]
susan smitten

Zurich tastes good.

That's why I'm smiling.

It looks good, too.

Mm, so many kinds of cabbage. And I love cabbage.

You can skate here.

Even this parking lot is beautiful.

Was it you who told me national flags were more ubiquitous in Switzerland than even America? I can't conceive of encountering plates with UAE flags on them in any restaurant I eat at.

It might have been me - or maybe you've just implanted a false memory in my brain. The flag is everywhere, though.

With so many vegetables around, I wonder why the world is 70% non-veg;-)

Nice Ganesha T. Some Hindu group will spot it and go crying to the T maker saying our sentiments have been hurt. Heh! Heh!

There are people who don't like vegetables! I pity them!

And thanks. :-) I can't wear it without feeling happy - if a little nervous about hurting anybody's sentiments. I hope anybody who sees me wearing it understands that I love their sentiments, and wouldn't want to hurt them. I wore it to Hounslow, in London, a couple of weeks ago, and got lots of warm compliments on it.

I was joking:-) Last month a couple of artists wanted to display they Ganesh paintings at a hotel in Manipal. Some right wing guys came and threatened the hotel not to. Why, mostly since none of the Ganesha's looked like the authentic one on your T;-) Apparently they showed a picture of Ganesha and said it should only look like 'this'.

Finally the artists held their display at a Hindu Mutt. Man that is one place which no Hindu right wing fanatic will dare attack. Score 1 for the artists;-)
