Going through old books to try to give away and sell whatever isn't rare or treasured, I found "Webster's Encyclopedia of Dictionaries" in the bottom of a box at my parents' house. I decided it didn't belong in the bottom of a box, and since it's too huge to drag to Dubai, I've campaigned for its prominent display in the front room. It was one of my favorite books when I was a teenager; I guess it still is. It was printed in 1978, which makes the atlas interesting.|
Here are some amazing words from the medical dictionary:
Ageusia, lack of sense of taste
Mephitic, noxious or foul
Alvine, pertaining to the belly
Dragee, large sugar coated pill
Cainotophobia, extreme fear of anything new
Sitophobia, extreme dislike of food
I wanted to make this a long list, but I think I'm going to make a sandwich instead. We'll see if I continue it later.
DUDE I SO JUST BOUGHT IT YES
AND I WILL PRESENT JOHN WITH IT AND THEN HE WILL LOOOOOOOOOVE ME
KEEP IT FOR YOURSELF!
