evilbil came to Kobe so we could put funny hats on him and take pictures for posterity.

The famous Port Tower

Best viewed when drinking blueberry wine

Kobe's good for the cheap, snazzy shoes

Chinatown stimulates the joy nerve

It's also a great place to take pictures..

..and act like tourists.

Bill will kick your sorry ass (once he gets some chilled Oriental noodles in him)

Bill's not the firestarter - you are!

One sad side-effect of living in a foreign country is that you're always saying goodbye to people. Nothing is permanent, no one stationary. Bil's leaving Japan in two days. Bon voyage and sayonara, Bill!

Kobe misses you, too. Come baack!
There are tons of $200-petite-shoe stores, but I'm a 9 or so and can find shoes that fit.
Those Bill bought ran about 12 bucks.
See those Nikes Don is wearing? 31cm, $20.
They have big-and-tall shops here, too.
Osaka is even better for that stuff, but I do all my shopping in Kobe.
Oh, those pictures are all around Sannomiya! Did you go to that tower?

i went to the board walk
and bought an unchikun in a store down tehre but i dont think i went up in the tower... but if you turn back and face the mountains, and look way to the left, sumiyoshi (?) in hte hills is where my exboyfriend's parents lived
Those prices for shoes just totally changed my whole outlook on clothing in japan O__o
damn... ifigured if i lived there, i would go naked and have nappy hair because cant find anything usable.
HM!

That might be true in most cities. (Naked nappy gaijin..) Tokyo, Osaka, and Kobe are notable exceptions!
Oh, Sumiyoshi is awfully close to where I live and work. Isn't your ex in England or something? Tell him to look us up while he's in town!

Aw, poor baby!! :~( Three years is a LONG TIME. You'll be back! But do you really want a teaching job? It'd be much nicer to come as a student. (Hard, but ideal.)

As for crashing with us.. I'd love to help someone like you move to Japan. I don't live alone, though, so I can't just say yes. But.. maybe we can help you somehow! I'll discuss it with the man. =)
