ドリョクハムクワレル [Oct. 25th, 2003|02:42 am]

I met Hiroko's boyfriend, Niko, today. He's cute and Belgian, really sweet and warm and open - perfect for Hiroko! I didn't expect to meet him today, or I would have taken pictures. (Of course!)

In other, top-secret news, I'm about to get a really, really big opportunity. I don't want to say too much, because I know I'll probably fuggitup. But it's all I can think about, so I've let it slip to several people. Here is a hint:

I'll tell you all about it in a few months.

We got six bags of large tortillas today, and a kilo of chedder cheese. Cheep! I just harvested some cilantro, and I smell fiercely of cilantro all over. (Or coriander, depending where you're from.) Can you guess what's for dinner?

Today, while I slaved away, Don whacked golf balls with Jason and Simon. Then he watched K1 until he passed out. The life of a programmer!

On a different topic completely, when I first got to Japan, I was chatting with Lobster and he said, "Of course you're going to document this whole experience." Which seemed like a taxing burden at the time... until LiveJournal. LiveJournal: For the Lazy Documentarian.

Tomorrow, Don is teaching a cooking lesson at Eating Studio -- I mean, English Studio! Then another of Sandy's all-night dance extravaganzas at Yellow Jackets. I wanna rock-and-roll all night!

I thought I'd been saving up a lot of things to say, but they aren't coming to me now. Except, yay for Friendster! Hi, Ralph!

my dad has been to dubai
he said it was interesting and he was treated luxuriously
but not sure how much fun it would be
but i read into it a LONG time ago when looking for jobs abroad
that curved hotel is INSANE..as everything 5star around there - on decadent practices :P
should be interesting...

my dad worked for this architectural firm RTKL, I think he was VP and did marketing... he'd go aroudn and shmooze... he thought he'd get some project going with Prince Awaleed... he travelled around with him a couple of weeks a few times as an advisor, in dubai and egypt... they'd get in these huge tour-bus type things nad hit the highway or fly... Awaleed was a friend of michael jackson's - it's all really odd.
nothing ever panned-out though deal-wise with my Dad's efforts.
oh well

Too bad it didn't work out, but that must have been really interesting.
